It’s a wonderful day in the neighborhood. . . especially on this particular warn Saturday afternoon in October in the downtown district of Ocean Grove. The weather cooperated and people were outdoors enjoying the annual Fall Harvest Fest and Craft Show sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of Ocean Grove.
If you can’t sit still, you don’t have to, especially in what some people think is “the sleepy town” of Ocean Grove. The 2012 summer calendar has arrived and activities abound.
It’s feast or famine here in Ocean Grove. We all got through a mild winter season and we are in our festive season with lot of events coming up, starting with a parade down Main Avenue and over to Auditorium Park to honor our veterans.

October 8th was the traditional Saturday of Harvest Festival in Ocean Grove which has been celebrated for approximately a decade now. It’s always celebrated the first Saturday in the month of October. The Harvest Festival in Ocean Grove is a free celebration that anyone can participate in. The Chamber of Commerce of Ocean Grove sets up the event every year, and the Neptune police department close the main streets from 10 AM to 4 PM on Main Avenue where vendors set up their wares, a place where people dance and gather in fellowship with one common goal: Celebrating the harvesting of food grown on the land.
