Anchorage day trip: Get up close and personal with a glacier

If you are visiting Anchorage, Alaska doing a land trip you can still find yourself face to face with a beautiful blue and white living glacier. Many think that to enjoy a glacier view, you have to be on one of those expensive Alaska cruises. But I found out differently. A record number of people watched the TLC network show, Sarah Palin’s Alaska. But did they see the real Alaska? The premier of this mini-series featured brown bears cavorting in a stream while the Palin family looked on from a small fishing boat. We enjoyed seeing Denali National Park and Mt.
