If you haven’t encountered QVC as you flip through television channels, you’ve missed the premier shopping channel on TV. No, this isn’t an infomercial. It runs 24 hours a day. And, unlike some of the advertising sales programs you’ll encounter, you can actually find quality merchandise at QVC at fairly reasonable prices.
And now, we find out that you can tour QVC when you are in the Westchester, PA area. QVC Studio Park is conveniently located in West Chester, PA. They are easy to get to, just minutes from Route 202, Interstate 76 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and Interstate 95. If you use internet mapping software, their address is 1200 Wilson Dr., West Chester, PA 19380.
If you go to QVC headquarters, you can get tickets to a live show, take advantage of a themed package weekend, or tour the studio and shop at their QVC store. The Studio Store also offers the Today’s Special Value® on most days. To find out if it’s in stock, call 484.701.6789 during store hours. The QVC Studio Store is open seven days a week from 10 AM – 5:30 PM ET (except some holidays, of course).
Tours are available seven days a week, at 10:30 a.m., Noon, 1:00, 2:30, and 4:00 p.m ET. Admission is only $7.50 per adult, $5 for children ages 6 to 12 years. Reservations are not necessary for parties up to nine people. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
I’d go just to meet the quirky, addicted QVC shoppers. You might encounter a “Quacker” who loves the Quacker Factory brand (they even have special cruises), or find a fan of Bob Mackie, who used to design Carol Burnett ‘s lavish gowns.
If you are a bargain hunter, QVC has discount/outlet stores. QVC has six outlet stores full of products at great savings? The selection includes jewelry, home décor, seasonal merchandise, apparel, and more. You’ll find limited quantities of brand-name items, end-of-season goods, customer returns, discontinued stock, and repackaged on-air display merchandise. Half the fun is finding something. They also have an online “as is” shop.
QVC Store
QVC Studio Park is located close to a variety of attractions. Learn about rotary aircraft at the American Helicopter Museum right next door to QVC Studio Park. See the DuPont legacy at Winterthur Museum & Gardens and Longwood Gardens. Continue your trip behind the scenes at the Herr’s Snack Factory Tour. End your evening by enjoying dinner and seeing a show at the Three Little Bakers Dinner Theatre.
