Bamboozle in Asbury Park, New Jersey

Three magical days in Asbury Park when Bamboozle hits the scene on May 18, 19 and 20th, 2012 .   What is Bamboozle?  You mean you don’t know!  You haven’t heard of this wealth of musical talent that will be headed to the Jersey Shore to entertain you from morning until night for three solid days?

Bamboozle is three fun-filled days of music on the North Beach in Asbury Park.  Register for your wristband now.  And who will be coming to the Jersey Shore for Bamboozle?  Approximately —  and the numbers keep going up — 50,000 to 60,000 musical enthusiasts from all over the State of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.  Some will travel from as far as California to be a part of Bamboozle.

The Stone Pony (Home to Bruce Springsteen)

Musical Guests

Check out this amazing lineup of guests.  You’ll see me stretching my neck on the boardwalk on the 20th when Jon Bon Jovi and his band appear on the north beach.  The Stone Pony and the Paramount will be venues at this great event, so prepare today if you want to get in on the biggest, loudest, most popular ever event in Asbury Park.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to bamboozle with the folks down the Jersey Shore.  And all in one weekend, too.

The Paramount

The Paramount welcomes you to Asbury Park

You’ll have to make your reservations early at the hotels, motels, and area bed and breakfasts.  To the South are the towns of Ocean Grove, Bradley Beach, Avon by the Sea, and Belmar.  To the North are the towns of Allenhurst and Deal Beach.  Check the listings on this hotel site to book your reservations.

There are over a hundred restaurants in the towns mentioned above.  You will not go hungry.  I recommend in Ocean Grove Nagle’s for a quick breakfast and lunch, ice cream, The Starving Artist, Yvonne’s breakfast, lunch, the Barbaric Bean for a great cup of coffee and dessert.  Check the listings in these towns .

If you’re staying overnight or just for a day trip, bring comfortable walking shoes and a change of clothes.  The beach is free for this weekend only on the entire Jersey Shore, and you’ll be able to get your feet wet.

View of Asbury Park from Ocean Grove Beach

Most of the towns are a mile long, so if you’re on north end of Ocean Grove Beach, Asbury Park is just a five-minute walk or less.   If you’re on the southern most part of Ocean Grove, then Asbury Park is a mile walk.  There will be a lot to see, so bring a camera.

Do not miss this event!

More down the Shore will continue with articles from Toms River and Seaside Heights.
