Hidden chocolate shops of Santa Fe

Entry to Todos Santos Chocolatier

Entry to Todos Santos Chocolatier in a hidden Santa Fe courtyard.

If you are a chocoholic visiting Santa Fe, New Mexico, you are in the right place. There are some fantastic chocolatiers spread throughout the “City Different,” but some of them are rather hidden. In fact, some of the most delightful shops are not easy to find.

I recently went shopping for Easter gifts and found some amazing, pre-packaged candy gifts at Todos Santos. Ideal for a devoted Catholic they had traditional tin crosses, filled with chocolates and tied with flowers and a religious medal.

Todos Santos: Near the Plaza, visit Todos Santos, located at 125 East Palace Avenue in Sena Plaza. This tiny shop filled with chocolates galore will make you swoon with delight. Famous for its chocolate milagros, or religious emblems gilded with 24 karat gold, Todos Santos also offers dark chocolate truffles, hand painted chocolates, whimsical “After Dinner Saints,” and other delicious sweets. You can park in back of Sena Plaza and ask to get your parking ticket validated Google

CoCopelli Chocolatier: Thanks to Billie and Steve, The Santa Fe Travelers, we heard about a rather new chocolatier, CoCopelli Chocolatier. They offer hand dipped and specialty chocolates, truffles, chocolate-covered almonds, peanuts, piñon nuts, hand sized chocolate and nut patties, and more. The shop also has vegan, sugar-free and gluten-free delights. They are located at 3482 Zafarano Dr. Suite A. Zafrano Drive is off Cerrillos Road. Map
