Fountain Hills Arizona art shows – Home decor, art, gifts, fun and food

Art Show at Fountain Hills

Fountain Hills is a lovely community northeast of Phoenix. But what most of us remember about Fountain Hills are the top notch art shows. Well, yes we do remember the amazing fountain that turns green on St. Patrick’s Day too.

Art Shows
Whether you are a snow bird, vacationer or permanent resident of Arizona, you’ll love the quality, the color and the good food associated with the Fountain Hills shows.

The Fountain Festival of Arts & Crafts is held in the second full weekend in November and features some 500 artists and artisans and gourmet food vendors. Over 200,000 visitors are attracted to this event to do their holiday shopping, purchase art and enjoy good food and entertainment. Many of the artists in this fair feature unique holiday themed ornaments that have become family tradition.

The Fountain Hills Great Fair is held the last full weekend of February. This three day juried art fair features attracts 500 artists and artisans from across the United States and around the globe, and attracts over 200,000 visitors.

Both events allow visitors to stroll in the warm sun, listen to music and purchase fair food at a leisurely pace. When you want a break, get something to eat and go sit on the grass in Fountain Park and watch the huge fountain. Incidentally, when you fly into Phoenix, you can often see this fountain from the air!

Both events are juried and attract quality artists. One year my friend purchased a beautiful original watercolor of Taos Pueblo and another year I bought a lovely hand-made leather purse from a southern California artist. You’ll always find some great items for your home at the Fountain Hills art shows. Oh, and did I mention jewelry? The jewelry artists range from those who work with native stones to those who make things out of glass. All are creative and enjoyable to see.

About Fountain Hills
Fountain Hills is situated on the eastern slope of the McDowell Mountains about 500 feet in elevation above Phoenix. This majestic range naturally separates the community from Scottsdale and the rest of metro Phoenix. And though it seems like another world, it is just a short 25 minute drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. The views from the town of Fountain Hills are lovely and many of the homes are positioned on the hills to face toward the Superstition Mountains.

Fountain Hills is primarily residential but does have some resorts and hotels. Listing Fountain Hills is a nice departure from the bustling Valley of the Sun.
