National Shrine hosts Ladies Day Out and Pet Walk

This site honors Mary as Our Lady of Guadalupe

National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows is the nation’s largest outdoor shrine. It is a peaceful spiritual retreat set on 200 landscaped acres. Twelve devotional areas offer places to pray, reflect or simply meditate just 15 minutes from downtown St. Louis.

One of the most popular devotional sites is the Lourdes Grotto, a replica of the famed shrine in France. Visitors are welcome to walk or drive the grounds. A free guided trolley tour is also available. Stay for dinner and spend the night at the on-site Shrine Hotel.

The National Shrine offers a variety of unique services, programs and events for spiritual enrichment. People of all faiths and denominations are always welcome.

Pet Lovers – Are invited to attend Tails, Trails Twinkles, Sunday, November 27, 2011, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Bring your canine friends to enjoy a walk through the lights. All walkers welcome, dogs must be on leashes. Refreshments, music, pet blessings are on the program. Sorry pet lovers, this event is for dogs only.

Ladies Day Out – will feature shopping from local vendors, Luncheon & Quarter Auction, Guided Meditation Sessions, A presentation with professional organizer Janine Adams of Peace of Mind Organization, and wine tasting

The seven days of creation are colorfully depicted in a rubberized walking surface that circles the 2 acre childrens playground.
