The Makanda Inn B&B

hand crafted design by local artists

The Makanda Inn, on The Southern Illinois Wine Trail, is situated on an 18-acre wooded site with a small creek winding through it. This beautiful inn is planned and built to fit in to the natural environment. In addition to its handcrafted beauty, The Makanda Inn is one of the most energy efficient retreats of its kind.

Every room has a personal balcony, LCD TV and DVD Player, IPod home stereo and king size bed. A seasonal breakfast showcases natural, organic and sustainable foods whenever possible. Innkeeper Janelle Weber is also the chef.
