Now the business traveler has a new choice for lodging; Cambria Suites is the newest brand from Choice Hotels International.
The new from the ground up facilities at all the Cambria hotels offer contemporary designs, spacious common areas, and modern technology. All of the properties include an indoor pool and hot tub, state-of-the-art fitness center with cardio and strength machines, a barista bar, and meeting rooms; the property in Roanoke, Virginia offered underground parking.
In the common area there are comfortable couches and chairs with ample wired computer hook-ups in addition to the wireless internet throughout the hotel; the internet is free. The dining room is open for breakfast and dinner and features Cheesecake Factory® desserts and Wolfgang Puck specialty drinks. Cambria also features a ‘Refill Station’ where one can purchase healthy and organic snacks plus other sundry items 24 hours a day.

Cambria Suites offer very comfortable beds but not much walking around room with the bed taking up nearly the entire space.
All suites have a refrigerator and microwave; a few have a wet bar. The rooms are not true suites since the room is only semi-divided between a setting room and the sleeping room with only a partial wall. Both the setting room and the sleeping room have flat panel televisions. The desk takes up a good portion of the setting room but has plenty of places to plug in all the stuff business travelers carry that will need to be recharged. Amenities in the rooms include Wolfgang Puck coffee and Bath and Body products for the bath.
What the traveler won’t get at the Cambria is a free breakfast that is standard at most Choice hotels. Perhaps Cambria is assuming that all business travelers are on an expense account and therefore will be turning in an expense sheet for the cost of everything. Fortunately the suites come with a refrigerator and ample counter space where breakfast can be prepared using the microwave for those who travel on a budget.
Currently Cambria Suites only has properties in 15 states: Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
