Silver Dollar City is celebrating their 50th anniversary in the time-honored traditions of the Amercican Craftsman. National Harvest Festival showcases hundreds of Visiting Craftsmen including Best of Missouri Hands juried artists. More than a hundred Visiting Craftsmen are scheduled

Celebrate the Craftsmen’s Reunion featuring veteran Silver Dollar City artisans including Peter Engler, Ted Blaylock, Peter Kramer, Lee Robertson, Tom Crain, Gary Dierking and Jesse Barnes. Craftsmen demonstrations include blown glass and cut glass demonstrations, see basket making, pottery demonstrations, woodcarvers and duplicating lathe work.

Learn How To Do-It-Yourself Craft Workshops in Boatworks Theater. Learn how to make beautiful wreaths and centerpieces, and decorate Christmas trees.

Head over to Red Gold Heritage Hall for America’s Largest Barn Dance. Live bands will be playing your favorite country & western and western swing tunes. Plus, seasoned dancers will be on hand to give tips and instruction to beginners.

Silver Dollar City, known as the home of American Craftsmanship, opened on May 1, 1960. The continous year-long 50th birthday celebration brings even more talented craftsmanship, music, art and dancing performances to the historic theme park.
