The self-guided tours are a good way to see some of Chicago. The city is a biking and running town so bikers and runners usually outpace tourists but everyone is welcome to share the paths. There are also lots of good architecture walking tours.

Gail thanks for sharing some of the things I didn't know. He certainly has his place down to a science. I've been listening to his commercials for about five years now, and I'm glad I got to see it.

Stew's life story is interesting. His father had a milk delivery business in Westport, CT back in the 50s & 60s. Stew inherited it and the rest is history. He studied Dale Carnegie's methods and has shown them to be effective, starting with his original farm shop, still in Westport. He was the first in the area to offer samples. He also developed a traffic pattern that several other stores have adopted (Ikea, for one) where you enter, follow a one-way path to the end and find it nearly impossible to retrace your steps...no, you must start at the entrance and follow the traffic. This of course has financial benefits: if you passed something the first go-round, you will probably pick it up on the second. He is a master marketer - no peers.
