Get married in an Ozarks Log Church…this authentic country church is a vintage log chapel originally built in 1849 on Bear Creek near Branson. The structure was dismantled log by log, lovingly rebuilt in its current location, and dedicated on July 10, 1960.

Because the City is so beautifully decorated, fall and winter weddings continue to grow in popularity. photo by SDC
The giant sycamore tree that once stood on the site was hand carved into the church’s pulpit by Lester Vining, and is still used today. Many Silver Dollar City guests make it a point to stop by Wilderness Church every time they visit the park. The view from the church of the Ozarks mountains is healing and renewing. Some visitors get a feeling of peace in the church where so many prayers have been answered.
Nearly a hundred couples take their vows at the little Wilderness Church every year. Wedding Coordinator Lisa Doran will help you select a wedding package or arrange the exquisite details of your dream wedding.

The Wilderness Church has at least 3 Church services every Sunday. It is home to gospel sing-alongs, dedications, and christenings. Wilderness Church holds treasured memories for generations of families.
Come Christmas time, weddings really pick up, the park is beautifully decorated and looks like a winter wonderland. More and more brides are choosing a wedding date in the fall when the Ozarks are their most colorful. Schedule a wedding date when the park is open, then pick a time before, during or after hours.
When I walk into the church and sit in the hand hewed log pews, I feel a sense of peace looking out at the beauty of the Ozarks.
