The Green Hilton Garden Inn Springfield Missouri

Hilton Garden Inn in Springfield is a clear example of how investing in green technology is an afforduble investment in our future. When the public sees that the new Hilton Garden Inn in Springfield is conserving resources and leading by example, they take note. I like to support those businesses that support our comunity.

Hilton Garden InnAll rooms at the Springfield Hilton Garden Inn have either one King bed or two Queen Beds with the Garden Sleep System® bedding. I had a great nights sleep with their comfortable beds and individual room temperature controls.

Though there is not a garden in sight, the new Springfield Hilton Garden Inn is green. This hotel is the first Hotel in Springfield (and Missouri) to be designed and built to Gold LEED certified standards. Some of the sustainability features include a salt water swimming pool, solar electric system, full recycling/composting system, and a public “green” building education program.

That’s why the air conditioning comes on when you walk in your room, the lights in the hall turn down after you walk past, lights turn off when the meeting rooms are empty.

All rooms come equipped with mini-fridge and microwave. These amenities sure are handy for keeping those restaurant-sized leftover portions safe and keeping a few cool drinks on hand. It saves a few bucks and it’s plain convenient.

LobbyCheck-in is 3pm and check-out is 12pm. Hilton Garden Inn is small pet friendly, call ahead and check out the details. The hotel is completely smoke-free, and comfortably accessible.

Hilton HHonors loyalty program works for me. While it’s not likely that I’ll be staying at the Waldorf Astoria®, I do enjoy staying at Embassy Suites®, Hilton Garden Inn® and Hampton Inn & Suites®.

Visit Close-by Branson
Branson, is only 37 miles away. While we were there I met a couple of travelers who were enjoying Silver Dollar City and the Hamner Barber Theater, avoiding Branson’s bumper-to-bumper traffic, and staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Springfield. They were actually spending less time and gas by using the Branson Map – 2011-12 , the color-coded alternate routes.
