The gardens are beautiful, peaceful and there is always a garden surprise no matter which way you turn. It’s a great way to start the day or wind down for the evening.  The B&B is a beautiful 3-story brick home. No matter how long you stay, you will continually discover new collections and antiques at every turn. Antique stereoscope viewers and cards are in every guest room for an authentic Victorian experience. A breakfast of ham and cheese Bisquick breakfast quiche, spiced fruit compote, muffins, juice and coffee or tea is served in the dining room on antique china.

Serendipity allows well-behaved children and pets. Guest rooms/suits for two people in a queen or king size bed, the rate is $95 per night + tax. Two people in separate beds is $110 + tax. Other options are listed on their website.

Harry S Truman Library & Museum
Truman: The Presidential Years – The major issues and events of Harry Truman’s Presidency are highlighted in this new 10,500-square-foot core exhibition. Featuring two decision theaters, enhanced audio and video programs, and new interactive elements.

A major permanent exhibition highlights the personal side of the life of Harry Truman and family. Featuring many important objects from the Truman Library collections.

Steamboats to Steam Engines: George Caleb Bingham’s Missouri. A Special long running exhibit created just for the Truman Library in celebration of Bingham’s 200th birthday. The display focuses on the development of the state of Missouri through the eyes of a native artist. The highlight painting is Bingham’s masterpiece, the Civil War era Order No. 11, Martial Law.

Cell Phone Tour of Truman’s Neighborhood – Learn about the story of Harry Truman with just a cell phone. Visit the Truman Information Ticket Center at 223 N. Main to get maps of the tour, or go to NPS, click on “Cell Phone Tours” and select “Around the Corner from the Truman Home” for a tour map of sites in the neighborhood.

Or, select “The Political Education of Harry Truman” for a tour map of sites on Independence Square.

Square Pizza offers delicious square pizzas made with the fresh ingredients and homemade sauces topping a tasty tender crust. Try the Triple Cheese or Chicken Alfredo pizza. Price Range: $10.00 – $20.00
