Value added at Drury Hotels

I like the knowing that the price I agreed to when I checked in, is the price I will pay when I checkout. No surprises, like an added charge for Internet access or paying three dollars for a soft drink.

Drury Hotels

“The Extras Aren’t Extra!” as they say at Drury Hotels. When other hotels are tightening the budgets by reducing customer services. I continue to stay at Drury properties because their value added services just keep getting better.

I appreciate the relaxed hot breakfast and newspaper, when time permits. (Drury, you had me at waffles.) The hotel has several healthy choices like muffins, yogurt and fresh fruit for breakfast on the fly. The three-hour window for breakfast service works for business and family travelers. Weekdays 6:00 – 9:30 a.m. (Monday – Friday) and, weekends from 7:00 – 10:00 a.m. on (Saturday & Sunday).

All the properties offer 5:30 Kickback with hot food and cold beverages. In communities where states permit, there is a limited selection of alcoholic beverages. There are bar snacks, popcorn, carrots and celery sticks. The rotating menu of foods like baked potatoes, hot dogs, chicken wings or chili, can be a snack or a meal for hotel guests.

Drury King

There is no charge for high-speed Internet or long distance phone calls. I don’t stay at Drury because of the hot breakfast or the beverages. I do travel often enough that the rewards program, the Gold Key Club, occasionally rewards me with a free room.

Drury is pet friendly, sign a “Pet Owner Letter” at check in. Rollaways are $10 a day. Newer properties are fully ADA compliant. Ask about wheelchair access when making reservations. No extra charge for cribs, check on availability.

I tend to take things like safe, free parking and HBO for granted until I stay at a hotel where I have to pay for them. I like the extra electrical outlets on lamps so I don’t have to climb under desks and dressers to recharge appliances. After a day of travel, it’s nice to get the kinks out in a well-equipped exercise room.

The clean, quiet rooms, comfy beds and hot showers are the deciding factors in my hotel stays. All these extras are what keep me coming back, again and again.

Choose your stay from any of these properties: Drury Inn & Suites, Drury Inns, Drury Suites, Drury Lodge and Drury Plaza Hotels.

I agree about taking simple things for granted in hotels until you have to pay for them. One of my criteria for a high rank on a hotel room is the shower….give me a powerful shower head (no puny stream trickling out to dampen me) and hot water and the hotel scores big. Too many hotels have used conservation as a reason to get cheap. I am all for being green, but when it comes to my shower, I need clean!

  2. Patty Davis says:

Drury is one of my favorites. If I know I have a Drury for the booked for the night, I will eat a decently large lunch and then use their evening snacks as my entire evening meal. And also like the “extras aren’t extra” philosophy of Drury. I just wish they were located in all parts of the United States and not just the mid-section.

  3. I’m a fan of Drury, too. I recently stayed at one in San Antonio, but unfortunately couldn’t take advantage of their free popcorn and beverages or free Kickback Buffet, because my flight was delayed and I arrived too late. The breakfast buffet was awesome, though!

  4. Jodie Jacobs says:

Haven’t stayed at a Drury but will check it out as a viable option.

  5. Patricia Florio says:

I stayed at Drury in Nashville and was pleasantly surprised.
